Course Map
Click on the map to see it enlarged.
The swim course is a point-to-point swim. The athletes will
start on the beach and swim in shallow waters to the transition
area. The bike course is a 2.5 mile loop on raods and trails.
The younger athletes will bike 1 loop and the older kids will
bike 2 loops. The run course is an out-and-back run on a
grassy trail. The younger kids will turn around at 1/4 of a
mile and the older kids will turn around at 1/2 mile.

General Information
The Race Director will go over the race route, as well as rules
and expectations at the meeting. Parents will NOT be allowed in the
Transition Area. No ouside assistance is allowed.
Good sportsmanship is encouraged and enforced! Athletes may
be given penalties if parents are showing anything other than good
sportsmanship. It will also be emphasized that this event is for
the youth, and is meant to be fun and educational. We are
promoting healthy lifestyles, self-esteem,
self-confidence, and modeling good sportsmanship and
healthy competition.
How it Works
The Transition Area is where your child will keep all
of his or her gear. After completing the swim, your
child will go to the Transition Area and retrieve his/her bike,
bike helmet, shoes and then proceed to the bike course. Plenty
of volunteers will be available in the Transition Area to assist
your child with finding their equipment, tying shoes, etc.
After your child finishes the bike leg, he/she will return to
the Transition Area, find his/her bike rack and re-rack their
bike. Then, he/she will take off on the run
course. The race finishes
when the child crosses the finish line.
Just as in an adult triathlon, each child will be assigned a
race number that should be pinned to the front of the
shirt during the bike and run portions of the event. Your
child will also be "bodymarked" - a triathlon tradition of writing
each participant's race number on his/her arms and legs.
